    Hello Tom,
As per your suggestion i am posting the question in the support forum. The question that was asked earlier is “I just installed your theme and love it but there seems to be a problem, no matter which sidebar or footer i try the “bbpress recent replies” widget isn’t showing.Any suggestions? Thanks”

    Hi there,

I assume published bbPress replies exist on the site?

If so, I wonder if you can send me details so I can bypass your maintenance page? If that’s possible, you can send them here and mention this topic: https://generatepress.com/contact

    Let me know ??

Hi Tom, no there are no BBPress replies, like i said its being constructed, but would that make any difference? The rest of the widgets and the ones from BuddyPress such as “latest activity” are loading/displaying fine during testing. Now there is another problem, i switched the theme to test it in another theme and when i reverted back the BBPres widget “Recent replies” which was installed earlier has disappeared and doesn’t install anymore. This problem seem to affect BBPress widgets primarily. I would really like to keep this theme if possible. I am going to send you the URL and take off the maintenance mode, excuse the mess in the website. Thanks again. Please let me know ASAP so that i can put that maintenance notice back again. Thanks a lot!

Note- The buddy press widgets are displaying fine in the sidebar, and even though there is no activity, the widgets says that.

Can you try adding a test topic and a couple of replies in bbPress to test? It’s possible that they made it so the widget only displays if recent replies exist.

I’m not sure what about mean about the widget not installing anymore? Was that widget provided by a plugin or does it come with bbPress? GeneratePress itself shouldn’t prevent bbPress from doing anything.

    Let me know ??

I am guessing you had to get involved in order to get the problem resolved, :-), thanks Tom. A note to everyone that there was a plugin incompatibility that was causing this to happen and as soon as i deactivated the plugin it worked.
