In general it’s better to handle requests closer to the server. So using Apache/.htaccess (or Nginx) will prevent the need to load PHP, etc. for any blocked requests. Plus 7G is a bit more extensive (more coverage) than BBQ plugin, so 7G is preferred for those who are able to implement, etc.

Does 7G work with CyberPanel ?

@mohdlatif no data either way on it. Should be fine, if you try it please report back your findings.

    Sure.

One last question. If 7G is much better than BBQ Pro. Then why BBQ is created? Does it do things beyond 7G firewall ? Note: I already have the pro version of BBQ.

    Thanks

BBQ Pro makes it possible for anyone to have a strong firewall that’s easy to customize. Not everyone has access/skills to Apache/.htaccess. BBQ/Pro only require WordPress nothing else. Btw, the forums here at www.ads-software.com are for free versions of plugins only. If you have any further questions about 7G or BBQ Pro, please reach me via the contact form at Plugin Planet. Thanks.

@specialk It’s just copy paste 7g firewall code above wordpress default code in .htaccess. Why it need the skill to do so ?

I am rather curious and happen to see this thread, kinda same to what I searching for. I also thought maybe there’s other extra inside the BBQ free plugins, if there’s nothing, I think gonna use 7g with htaccess rules. Coz I also think that using plugin and loading extra php slower than using htaccess rules.

Hey @lucius100, the forums here at www.ads-software.com are for free versions of plugins only. So that means 7G and pro talk is not allowed per the forum rules. For any discussion about 7G/pro please reach me via the contact form at Plugin Planet. Thanks.
