• If you install this plugin before you start adding your photos, wonderful! If not, be careful. While I was organizing all of my existing photos into my new albums, several of them somehow got deleted, which I didn’t notice for a week or so. This included logos, my main landing banner background, a bunch of portfolio work, etc. It’s a good plugin, and it’s great for keeping your stuff organized, but just make sure you’re taking your time and ensure that nothing disappears on you without you realizing it.

    Hey @phil84vaive ,

    Thanks for your comment.

Please do note that the Folders plug-in creates virtual folders only that can have absolutely no impact over your actual files.

You can also use the Trash functionality of the plug-in so that any deleted files get moved in a trash bin similar to this on a computer before actually being deleted (manually).

We would love to further look into this for you – please feel free to drop us a line at [email protected] and we’ll do our best to direct you.

@galdub Users can be wrong when they provide feedback. You can reply and someone did. And it was a good reply.

This review does not need removing.

    Gotcha ??

I just wanna be clear that the Folders plugin doesn’t have even 1 line of code that can delete files. All our folders are “virtual,” and even if a user deletes a folder by accident, it doesn’t delete the files inside the folder unless the user actually deletes the files inside the folders by using the native WordPress “delete” functionality.

My guess would be that the user has deleted some files by accident, and since they see the Folders plugin in their media library, the user thinks it’s related to the plugin.

That being said, I’m happy to hear that the user plans to keep using the plugin.

We’re always available to assist with any question ??

Hey guys. Just a heads up, I’m not a complete moron. This plugin deleted my photos, and then when I left a review about that issue (not even that negative, just a heads up to other users), they started HOUNDING me in my email to delete the review. I would bet that’s the only reason this plugin has so many positive ones.

I watched the photos disappear as I was loading them into folders I created using this plugin. The photos did not arrive in the destination folders. They just disappeared from the “unsorted photos” gallery. I figured they may just be loading or something, and went on to a different task, and forgot about it. I didn’t really think about it again until several days later, when I was showing my site to a client and noticed that every single photo on my home page had disappeared, along with several others. So now I am downgrading my rating from a 3 to a 1, because they won’t stop harassing me in my inbox.

@phil84vaive I’m sorry my response offended you, I didn’t imply you are a “moron”.

We contacted you because we wanted to help you sort the issue, not because we wanted you to remove the review.

We have good reviews and good retention because we put a lot of effort into the product, and that’s why you said yourself you’ll keep using it.

If you ever decide you want us to help you, the door is always open. Good luck ??
