• I purchased yoast seo premium for first time about one year ago for a website of mine, and all seemed to be working fine and i was happy with it but soon after an update sent by yoast nothing was working fine any more, no more green lights, your site is not index messages, and so on, yoast couldn’t help with resolving the problems in the Yoast Seo and put the blame on other plugins and theme, obviously it’s not a compatible SEO plugin for many themes and plugins, and email response takes for ever. i’m thinking that when you first purchase Yoast Seo they first give you a simple Yoast plugin with coding that is more compatible with website themes and plugins, but soon after the 30 DAY refund period expires they send you updates to a more non compatible version to most plugins and themes and that’s why i’m thinking i’m getting all these problems with yoast now, i’m saying this because i have re purchased Yoast Seo premium to test it for another new site i have and everything was working fine until my 30 DAY refund period expired, now my facebook titles and description in Facebook preview are not working, it doesn’t even find the image thumbnail i uploaded into it, and now i’m also getting a new notification “The Text link counter feature (introduced in Yoast SEO 5.0) is currently disabled. For this feature to work Yoast SEO needs to create a table in your database. We were unable to create this table automatically.
Please read the following knowledge base article to find out how to resolve this problem.” i cant even ask for a refund as it expired 5 days ago, that explains why its only 30 DAY refund. it has nice features but i’m not happy with it and i should be looking for another plugin but i can’t because i have hundreds of images set up and once you disable Yoast plugin you lose all the work you did and have to start over again with your new SEO plugin, and that’s months and months of work. bummer be careful with this.

  • Hi @tubetoontube,

    Thanks for your feedback.

We are sorry you’re experiencing problems with the plugin.

We run extensive compatibility tests before releasing any plugin update. In these tests, we check that Yoast SEO is compatible with the most used WordPress plugins and themes. Of course, there are thousands of plugins and themes out there which makes it impossible for us to test against everything. Joost discusses this topic further in this article: The Honest Truth About Plugin Testing

That being said, our developers work continuously on improving the plugin. Every two weeks we release a new plugin update with bug fixes and enhancements. These frequent updates allow us to make sure Yoast SEO works flawlessly with the latest WordPress version. We also have a development repository where our developers keep track of bugs, compatibility issues and feature requests: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues

We understand that Yoast SEO is not working as expected on your website. We’d love to investigate this issue and look for a solution. Threfore, we’d kindly ask you to contact premium support so that our team can assist you further.

If you decide that Yoast SEO Premium is not the right plugin for you we have a lenient 30-day refund policy. We are always happy to make exceptions in cases where the plugin doesn’t work as expected. If you want to switch to another SEO plugin, we recommend trying SEO Data Transporter to move your data between SEO plugins.
