Be Careful – Multisite – Remove Data

  • Don’t use the remove data if you have multisite running. It will delete the data for all of your sites on that box.

    I use clone to copy sites to new sites and tweak them. I noticed that it cloned the stats also. So I checked and found the remove feature. Oops… I’m restoring from backup now.

    Now the site that I ran the remove data on won’t show the stats after restoring the stats tables. I just get “WP Statistics has been removed, please disable and delete it.” and “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

    All the other sites still work.
