The plugin is an excellent software! By the way, we think it is very non-professional to abandon a function in the latest release! Neither without widely informing all the users.
It caused us many problems because we discovered it not working on a live website!

To be more precise, I am talking about the rwmb_meta() function which was removedd in 4.10. If you continue like this with many updates and no backward compatibility the Plugin will lose usefulness..

In this page is told in a footage little note: https://metabox.io/docs/registering-meta-boxes/

Instead every major change needs to be notified and specified in the Changelog.

    Hi @snap-shot,

The function rwmb_meta() is always available for use (see source code here). We already fixed the compatibility so users can user rwmb_meta anywhere like before. It’s fully backward-compatible with previous versions.

We understand the backward compatibility is one of the most important thing and we are trying to keep that.

As rwmb_meta only had problem in version 4.8 and is fixed in all later versions (4.9 and 4.10), I removed the “historical note” from the docs.
