• Just installed this plugin. I was really surprised it did install 4 (!) different plugin’s, all asking to be upgraded to a Pro version on every page in the dashboard. De-installed 3 of them, hope the remaining one (MonsterInsight) does what it promises without the “support” of all the other bullshit…..

    Hi @cappersg,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us.

I’m sorry about the recommended plugins. It’s not our intent to cause clutter. We try to provide as much value as possible to our users by suggesting plugins that we integrate with directly for more reporting features because a lot of users aren’t aware of them and can benefit greatly.

If you would prefer to not use our suggested plugins, you’ll be able to either deselect them for installation in the Setup Wizard, skip that step entirely by clicking on Skip for Now, or if you decide after completing the setup wizard to not use them, you’ll be able to remove them like other WordPress plugins.

We really appreciate you for giving us a try and if you have any suggestions for the things you’d like to see in the Lite version, please let me know and I’d be happy to share your feedback with the team.

And if you’d like more help with using MonsterInsights Lite, please feel welcome to reach us at https://www.monsterinsights.com/lite-support/

    Thank you.

    Michelle,

Thanks for the answer: good to know somebody is actually responding….

I’m usually very sharp in avoiding clutter: it is a quite common trick in softwareland….. But this time I failed to see the options: maybe they are quite hidden? Anyway: if anybody needs more reporting facilities they will be quite able to discover these themselves in stead of being forced to download them as a package. IF you really want to do the right thing make two different downloads: a straightforward download for the plugin the user has selected, and another one (presumably announced as “recommended” :-)) with the complete package.

Of course I removed the clutter directly, and it was good to see that seems to work OK using standard procedures. But it takes non-plannes time.
