My site is hosted at GoDaddy. I received two messages stating that the following plugins were updated:

Howdy! Some plugins have automatically updated to their latest versions on your site at https://jwvpost64lasvegas.org. No further action is needed on your part.

These plugins are now up to date:
    - Blank Slate (from version 1.1.4 to 1.2.1)
    - Fullwidth Page Templates (from version 1.0.3 to 1.1.1)
    - GoDaddy Email Marketing (from version 1.4.1 to 1.4.3)
    - Google Analytics Dashboard for WP (GADWP) (from version 6.8.0 to 7.9.0)
    - Google Fonts Typography (from version 1.9.99 to 3.1.2)
    - LiteSpeed Cache (from version 2.9.9.2 to 5.2.1)
    - Ninja Forms (from version 3.4.24.1 to 3.6.14)
    - PowerPack Lite for Beaver Builder (from version 1.2.8.2 to 1.2.9.3)
    - Sucuri Security - Auditing, Malware Scanner and Hardening (from version 1.8.24 to 1.8.35)
    - TablePress (from version 1.11 to 1.14)

Several days later I received another message stating that the following plugin was updated:
These plugins are now up to date:
    – Google Analytics Dashboard for WP (GADWP) (from version 7.9.0 to 7.9.1)

Now to my problem! Beaver Builder has disappeared from the installed plugins and my site is a total mess. The theme is the Velux theme that comes with WordPress.

I am a novice and have not had an issue like this before. I called Go Daddy which was a useless call. What can I do to resolve this issue?

Here is the URL of my site: https://jwvpost64lasvegas.org/

    Any help would be appreciated.

Godaddy have a habit of not finishing updates, being a shared service they set the timeout really low and updating plugins sometimes takes a few seconds so .. you end up with the pluign not updated and an empty folder.

We have no record of your site ever using the premium versions of Beaver Builder so either you were using the free version from here, or the premium version was provided for you by Godaddy when/if they built your site for you.

Either way, you have to go to your file manager and delete the empty plugin folder left by the botched update then reinstall the plugin, either the free version from here or the one you are licensed to use from Godaddy.

Thanks for the reply. I was using the version of Beaver Builder supplied by GoDaddy.

I just installed FileZilla. It’s asking for my hostname. I looked up the url in ICANN lookup. What should I enter for the hostname?

Your host more than likely have a file manager in your account area, if not it will have the instructions for using FTP. Sorry I cant be more help.

I have tried two different ftp clients (FileZilla and Cyberduck). Both time out when attempting to connect to GoDaddy’s servers. I see that GoDaddy has CPanel but the plan we have doesn’t include it. Any suggestions?

All I can suggest is contact the host, nobody here will be able to see the connection settings for the server.

The issue is resolved. We called Go Daddy a second time. This time, the rep reinstalled Beaver Builder without challenging us at all. The first time we had called, that rep wanted to sell us a $125 package to have someone else reinstall BB. We hung up on that first rep and gave him bad grades on their survey. The second rep was very patient and walked my colleague through making sure every page worked.

Thank you for attempting to assist us on this matter.
