    Hello,

As I am in the process of testing the plugin, I come across some issues that I would like to point out.

    1. When a user has already logged in, the “Instructor Registration” page does not fulfill its function – the user can see his/her account page only (this has already been stated here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/approve-current-users-as-instructors/). In other words, already-registered members cannot become instructors. I believe this should be changed.

    2. Users require the administrator’s approval to become instructors. In plugin settings, there should be an option for this (users can become instructors automatically or they require the administrator’s approval).

    3. When a course is Free but requires registration, the default “Buy Now” button is displayed even though there is no payment to be made. Something like “Join now” would be more convenient for such cases.

    4. When a user becomes a member of the website not by clicking a course name but by following wp-login.php > register, this user is not given the role of “Masteriyo Student”; the default role determined in website settings is given. As a result, when this user wants to join a course, he/she needs to re-enter his name, etc. This is not very dramatic, of course, but I believe this is something that can be corrected.

    5. In order to eliminate the issue I listed in (4), I wanted to set the default role for new users (under website settings) as “Masteriyo Student.” However, this does not work. WordPress falls back to the previous default role and I have got no idea as to why this happens.

    Hello @hakangur,

Firstly, thanks for your insightful queries and also for including them in points.

    1. Yes, with the current version, users (Masteriyo Students) cannot apply to become Instructor. We will think on this in coming updates.
However, as an admin, you can go to dashboard -> Users. Select/Edit the user and change the role to Masteriyo Instructor from Masteriyo Student. I assume you already know this. ??
    2. This feature along with many related features are work in progress but planned to be released only in the pro version.
    3. Thanks for pointing it out. We will be adjusting this in coming 1-2 updates.
    4. I think, making the role as Masteriyo Student of users registered from other processes within the site rather than Masteriyo’s registration mechanism may not be a good idea. However, what you said in point 5 totally makes sense. We will be checking on this and see if there’s any issue we need to fix in coming updates.
    5. Answered in above point 4.

As you mentioned that you are in the process of testing Masteriyo, if you have any more queries/suggestions apart from mentioned in this support thread, I request you to make new support threads and mention those. It’s really important for us to know what users like you are thinking and want to be included in this plugin. These suggestions will certainly help our plugin be better with coming days. ??

Note: As per support forum rule here, we are not allowed to discuss features related to pro version. So, you can always contact us via our Masteriyo site chat system if you need to and I will get back to you.

      Thanks.
