• Been using ManageWP for a couple years. The support is good, the features are pretty solid (sometimes glitchy, but pretty dependable).

I was happy… then came “Orion”. Their new revamp dashboard. I tried it and couldn’t find anything. The design of the new dashboard is confusing. It took forever to find the old features. And even when I did find them, I couldn’t find them again. That is the opposite of UX design.

So I tried other managers (iControlWP, CMScommander and InfiniteWP). Each have their pros and cons, but one thing they had in common was user friendliness. I could find the backups, the plugin updates the security scans, etc. This validated my opinion that the new “Orion” of ManageWP was indeed hard to use and that is wasn’t just me being a bit slow.

So, I am moving on. I tried “Orion” for over a week straight and was still getting lost. I figure out all three of the others (mentioned above) in one day.

ManageWP is a pretty solid platform but too hard to navigate. In the end my frustration peaked. Maybe you will have a better experience. But for me, three stars is the best I can rate this.

  • Hey Steve,

Thank you for pointing out the user friendliness part and for mentioning that you had some cons on the management tools that you used.

If it wouldn’t be too much to ask, could you please write to [email protected] so that we can understand better on what you missed with InfiniteWP and how we can take this opportunity to better ourselves and our tools ??

    Appreciate your valuable response,
    Best,

    Hi Steve,

    Thanks for sharing your feedback.

When we created ManageWP, we set the standard for how website management dashboard looks and feels, and others followed suite. With Orion we’re trying to change the flow for the better, and that’s bound to cause some confusion in the community.

Most people reacted positively to the flow changes, but not all. That’s why we need a killer onboarding to address the changes in the flow, ASAP.

We’re working on in-depth onboarding, it should go live within a month or so. Hopefully you’ll circle back to ManageWP at some point, give it another shot and be pleasantly surprised ??

Oh, and thanks for not giving us one star ??

    Cheers,
    Nemanja

Thanks for the reply. I was with you long enough to know you are definitely not a one star service.

Just no time to learn a new workflow. Good luck with the new release.
