Before I get started

I have just discovered that WordPress might be better for my needs than Joomla which I am currently trying in a sub directory however before I get going I would like to find out if this is possible.

On my PC to create wordpress version of the standard html pages that are on my site. To then quickly late at night transfer this straight to an installation on the site.

I use Ubuntu 8.10 OS
