    How do I restore my site from a backup?

    Unfortunately like most backup plugins, BackupWordPress backs up automatically but doesn’t restore automatically. Unless you are an expert WP user, we recommend using UpdraftPlus plugin which does backup and restore for free.

    If you’re stuck and not an expert WP user or just want to save time, then remember UpdraftPlus Premium can automatically restore backups from other plugins include BackupWordPress.

    Support for our premium extensions, which allow you to backup to Dropbox, Google Drive, FTP, Amazon S3, Rackspace, Dream Objects and Windows Azure.
    Support for commercial plugins is not allowed on the www.ads-software.com forums. Please use one of these methods instead:

    On the admin page for BackUpWordPress ( Tools -> Backups ), you’ll find a button titled “Enable support”. Please click it and confirm activation in the popup window.

    This will give you access to a message window, and you should send us a quick note about the problem you’re having, link to your forum post (if applicable).
    This will alert our support system and allow us to communicate with you via your WordPress dashboard using the Intercom.io app.

    I’ve got another problem – please help!

    Please search the forums, and if not then create a new topic. Please take the time to post as much information about your issue and server environment as possible and allow a couple of days for reply.

    Keep in mind, most problems originate from either wrongly configured servers, or servers that do not meet the requirements for running backup jobs successfully.

    These can range from insufficient memory or disk space to wrongly set permissions.
