Before/After Labels that overlay and widen with the slider

I need to have fluid horizontal bars across the images. One on the before side (orange bar) and the other on the after side (blue bar); which adjust to the width of the vertical bar slider.
At start, both bars are 50-50 width, meeting in the middle.
As the bar slides left, the left bar shortens from the left edge to the vertical bar AND the right bar widens from the right edge to the slider vertical bar
As the bar slides to the right, the right bar shortens from the right edge to the vertical bar AND the left bar widens from the left edge to the slider vertical bar.
The horizontal bars need to be overlayed on the images somehow and fluid. Is there a way to have this happen?
I’m not sure if this is enough of a description, but anything would help at this point.
