I’m installing this on a rather large multisite WP install. I ‘network activated’ the plugin and I noticed that the single site I was working on began using the picturefill plugin immediately. But I saw no way to activate the plugin on a per-site level. As I said there are nearly 100 subsites on this install each using different themes that would all suddenly be using the plugin… and that’s scary to me.

It’d be nice to opt in for each site I’d like to use it on, is that possible?

Bump! Any word on if this behavior can be modified on a multi-site install?

I guess I’m crazy, because the plugin seems to be working as desired now. I’m able to enable it on a per-site basis. I don’t know why it wasn’t working that way before. I won’t waste any more of your time. Thanks for the plugin!

I’m glad that things are working again. I’m not sure exactly what happened, but I know occasionally I forget that the network admin treats plugins and themes differently.

Themes need to be “network enabled” from the network admin before any individual sites have access to them. Plugins are accessible by all sites on installation, but can be “network activated” for all sites at once. This is easy for me to forget and I’ll wonder why a theme isn’t showing up or why a plugin is already activated.

Thanks very much for reporting back.
