• My dashboard is missing access to most of the left column items.

I have hired a tech to upgrade WP but I am unable to provide admin privileges so she can do the work.

I don’t have enough WP tech ability to know what to do to fix this.

    Thanks.

Why? You cannot expect anyone to sort out this kind of problem without full access to the site and your FTP account.

I have upgrade from 2.9.1 up to 3.1.4 successfully from GoDaddy’s site. When I try to upgrade to 3.2, the upgrade fails. How can I upgrade further so that I can get to 3.4.1 version?

Would love to give her full admin access, but when I say I am “unable to,” I mean there is no visible means to access admin privileges via the dashboard. Only a limited number of the features I’m used to working with are available.

Do you have access to the Appearance and Plugins menu items in your Dashboard?

Unfortunately, no, but the tech can now access the cpanel, so I think we’ll be ok. Thanks.

Yes I can access Appearence and Pluggins menu in the dashboard.

The issue is when I move items within the menu, to make some subordinate to others, the subordinate items come back out when I click save.

@hhpta: It is impolite to interrupt another poster’s ongoing thread with a question of your own and it causes significant problems for the forum’s volunteers. Please stick to your own topic.

@anita Williams: If you cannot access those menu items, then you do not have full admin access to your own site. I strongly recommend that you sort this out asap.

It’s being worked out right now. Thank you for your kind assistance.
