Benefits of WordPress

  • Hi – I code in PHP and have used wordpress as well.

    Apart from all of the features, modules etc. Are there any other features/functionality that only blogging software like wordpress contains that can’t be recreated by developing your own blog?

    For instance, the only thing I can really see is that it includes pingback/trackback links. But this could be integrated into any system.

    Not a one. ?? You could totally build all this on your own and the same features exist in many other blogs.

    So why use WordPress?

    Someone else did all that for you, there’s a great community to help you if you get stuck, and it can do your laundry. *
