• I needed to create a site that was private unless logged in.

Before finding AAM I tried the following plugins:

My Private Site (caused login loop – had to get rid of)
All-In-One Intranet (couldn’t get it to work)
Force Login (worked for a long time until an update – then stopped working on my site).

Finally settled on a combination of these plugins:

    Content Control
If Menu – Visibility control for menus
    Prevent Direct Access
    Prevent Direct Access Gold
Wbcom Designs – Private Community for BuddyPress

I was still having some intermittent issues with that setup, so I kept searching. Finally, I found AAM. I purchased the Pro version because I needed some of that functionality, and I was able to replace all the other plugins with AAM/AAM Pro and AAM Protected Media Files plugins and it WORKS!

I love the very fine-grain control over every aspect of the site. I did have a specific situation I needed help with and Vasyl was very quick to respond. He even did a quick Zoom meeting with me to fine tune a couple things.

AAM plugins are the best out there for controlling access to my site. Thank you!
