SO.. 2 years later, what to say ?
my needs are not the same : today i use a multisite wordpress with multiroles.
Needs are too complex for usual access rules on UI since priorities between roles, with private/public sides can be conflictual. And it was also very time consuming to resolve issues.
It’s why I use AAM ACL now, it solves the whole thing in a simple elegant manner.
You got a learning curve, but worth it by far for complex needs.
For the most basic critics i read here, i can say one thing : you certainly not understand or not read enough – there’s plenty of docs and samples, even for ACL. Take the time, its not a plugin you activate and do nothing : WP roles, posts, pages.. are all interacting while defining accesses – you have your part to do since your needs are specific to you. When you understand all of that, you got so much control you can even hide or deny a single form field from another plugin formbuilder without a single line of code !
As you can see, I’m really happy with this plug – my sites can’t be without – that’s why ??
