Best e-commerce solution for selling tutoring

I have a client that I am building a site for that is selling tutoring classes. The site will be built with WordPress, will require user registration and will need to accept payments for tutoring. Most ecommerce plugins really seem to sell physical things. My question is, what solution (3rd party service or plugin) might work for a site like this? We would be selling tutoring classes and some with recurring subscriptions.
