• It’s not super pretty, on the backend or the frontend, but I’ve tried every other events management plugin out there and this is the only one that lets me extend the features for my needs with such ease and flexibility. I can style it on my own, in fact I prefer to, so I actually quite like that it’s minimial from an aesthetic standpoint. The main benefit though is that it’s super easy to do whatever you want, from custom templates, custom placeholders, etc.

The only thing that would make me give it 5 stars is that managing what settings are available to which user roles is not easy. There are a lot of settings that I don’t want my clients to have access to, especially some complicated settings. For example, if I’m using a custom template I don’t want them to see the formatting settings. This is especially true in a multisite setup, when there are certain settings that I would want to set globally for all sites on the network. So EM, if you’re listening, please work in some way to hide settings from certain user roles, and apply certain settings to all sites on a multisite network! I’d 5-star for sure after that.
