Best method for backing up site/database

Hi all,

Just looking for the best method to backup my entire wordpress website and database so that it can be rebuilt in seconds if need be?

I was using a raspberry Pi before where I would use the export option from wordpress dashboard, copy the entire wordpress directory from the operating system and do a postgres dump… But I never actually tried to restore that backup as I’d just also make an image of the SD card as it was so small

Now I’m using a laptop, making an image will take a lot longer and waste more HDD space, so am looking at a better way of doing it

Hopefully someone can help

PS: I’m now using MySQL rather than PostgreSQL
