• Hello. New to WordPress and the forums. Long time Textpattern user. I’ll be converting in the coming weeks and would like some input on the best way to go about things.

One of the sites I’m converting has a monthly news report with two simple tables. By simple, I mean 2 column by 16 or 17 rows each. I have about 7 years worth of reports (so roughly 80 posts). The tables’ first column will rarely change, but it could (and has in the past), so to maintain accuracy, it’s probably best to input both columns every month, though I’m open to suggestions.

In TXP, I used a custom fields plugin and added two textarea fields specifically for these tables. I would simply copy paste the table data from the MS Word file I was given into the field, resulting in tab delimited data. Then I used another plugin and a form to build the table. This worked perfectly for years.

How would I go about this in WordPress? Further – any ideas on how best to import all my current articles (posts)?
