Best of the lot

This is by far the best of the live chat plugins that offer free and pro editions. The free version is quite enough for a small site with one person available to chat to a visitor. The paid version does not live in your pocket as most of the SaS apps do, leeching you continuously. In the spirit of open source, you have a copy of the application that you may use indefinitely. I’d suggest abandoning those poaching off open source using the SaS model.

Another great feature is that you don’t need to sign up to any remote service. You activate the plugin, you’re in business–even if you do link to the developer’s server for enhanced service. Good work.
