Best place to place Google Analytics Script

  • Hello, can anyone recomend the best place to place the Google Analytics Script for collecting site stats?

    I have placed in in the header.php of my active theme. Is this the best place to use it? I want to cover my whole .co.uk incuding the forum I use.

  • Mine’s in my footer, and it seems to work fine. I think that Google recommend it being put immediately before the </body> tag.

    Update: I’ve just come across this.
    Perhaps I should be doing it differently!
