Best Plugin for Post content limit (with images support)

    Most of my posts have images (and they are the first thing in the post) followed by text/html content. When I use a typical content limiter it has 2 options:
    1. Either strip based on characters/words
    2. Strip all HTML tags

    Both have side effects 1. will cause formatting issues e.g. suppose I had character limit of 500, and within that a <table>, <Div> opens but doesn’t close, whole of my page is screwed.
    If i choose 2nd, home page has just text and no supporting illustrative images.
    Is there a plugin that can strip everything but images?

    or where can i change in WP to strip all tags but <img> images.
