• Hi all,

I am just about to complete a new WordPress Network at work as there are different departments that want to create their own blogs.

I don’t have a problem with the creation of a network it is more advise…

To create a network you have to create a standard blog at the root of the web server (https://<servername>/). Once this is done you can then create other sites off this. What do people use this default site for? I’ll be creating sites such as the following and don’t really want the default ‘root’ site:

    https://<servername>/HR/
    https://<servername>/Purchasing/
    https://<servername>/IT/

    What are other people doing??

    Thanks.
