• Hello, just have a quick question on templates.

We have different sections for our website, like Legal, Transit, etc. I’m creating an Elementor template for each so that we can have a different header picture up top per section. I was thinking of making a global widget header for each one (like a Legal global header image, etc.), so that way if I change the picture on the template, it will update all the pages for that section.

Is that the best way to do what I’d like to do? Or is there maybe some special thing with templates updating that I might be missing? Thanks.

  • @logi098 Hi, With Elementor 2.0 (Pro version) You can add global templates like the Header and Footer. These templates are implemented across your entire site, or on any combination of pages of your choice.

With Conditions, you can set exactly where each template is implemented, whether it’s in a certain Category, Taxonomy, or on a Specific Page.

Thanks a lot, will look at that.

One more question – I tried the template header and it works great. I set the condition to a page and its children and everything works.

However, my Ocean WP navigation menu up top is now gone from any page that uses the Elementor header. Is there some option I can get that back?

For anyone running into the same problem, I got a message from Elementor Pro support stating that using a template header will remove the Ocean WP menu up top by design. So, we have to find another solution since it will always remove menus by other themes and plugins.
