• I work with about 10 university sites within a WP multisite network. We’ve implemented scheduled updates for WP core and presently installed plugins. My question is does anyone have any best practices they can share for plugin rollbacks?

We have two environments, dev and prod. We make a point to test plugin updates in dev but have run into a handful of time when we missed a minor bug prior to pushing the update to prod. In cases like this a rollback to the previous plugin version would have proven useful. Is there an “easy” way to handle this? Maybe a plugin to handle plugin rollbacks ??

Of course I am looking for something easier than fully backing up my plugin versions.

    Cheers!

I realized that I may have begged the question here. Does WordPress automatically backup previous plugin versions?
