Best Sign up Plugin

I am looking for the ability to allow tennis players sign up for matches. The view i have is to have a predefined list of players for a specific tennis group (there will be multiple groups) and allow them to select their name and indicate “register to play” or “not available”. Once the number of available slots are taken a standby list would be created. The back end would allow a coordinator assign players by skill level. An email reminder would be sent prior to the matches. Can you point me to the best plugin for this set of requirements.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
