    Greetings. Looked through the threads but couldn’t find my specific question…

    When creating slideshows for responsive themes, what is the recommended size to make the images to upload? I assume the slideshow or the theme will crop or change the image someway when going from a widescreen desktop computer monitor to a portrait handheld mobile device.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

    First, very sorry about the delay in responding.

    There isn’t any certain rule for images size to use in slider.
    But let review some options in Master Slider that used to set size of images:

    1. Automatically crop and resize slider images based on the size above in Slider Settings tab. When is set to ON the slider will crop and resize images based on width and height that set in above it.

    2. Fillmode in Slide->Background tab.
    This setting can cause resize and crop. The name and icons is clear to understand, but for more explanation, when is set to fill, the image will resize until fill the slide and will crop if the image aspect ratio is different with slider. (Best for horizontal images)
    The Fit mode will resize image but without cropping, so if image aspect ratio is different with slider, some empty spaces will appear in slide. (Best for vertical images)
    The Stretch will resize image to fill slide, but never crops image.
    The center mode can’t make any change to image, so if your image is high resolution, it will overflow in slider.
    And Tile will repeat the image if image is smaller than slider size.

    Let us know if you have any further questions.

    Regards
    Averta
