Best theme for visually inclined builders?

A few tutorial videos (mostly the comments) have guided me away from the HelloTheme for my specific needs, directing me more towards Astra.

The project at hand is the employer’s website rebuild – not exactly, it’ll be a pretty standard media portfolio, but the direction and feedback is coming from a 100% visual / presentation perspective. Dialing in headers and footers is of paramount significance. I’ve had some issues doing general font and layout adjustments / integrations too, but maybe it has something to do with other plug-ins installed, but a quick on/off review of each doesn’t seem to solve it. My background is media production and I live on Photoshop & Premiere.

I’m currently using Elementor Pro 2.7 and using HelloChild/Theme. Would anyone advise jumping ship to another free theme?
