• Hi All,

I have finally got my content imported from Joomla and custom fields, I have set up the custom fields on the back end and now looking to implement on front end.

I was thinking what is the best way to implement, my current coder has suggested it is coded into the template the positions for the custom fields in the articles

I was thinking is it better to use post types and setup as different post types which would fix any issues when I upgrade or possibly change template.

The coder thinks its better to use the coded into template but I am unsure. Any advise

If the custom fields truly allow you to classify things into different post types, I think the custom post type solution is better. It’s a lot clearer for the ultimate user and allows you to take advantage of the template hierarchy.
