Best way to add Google Analytics

    I’ve seen three ways people add Google Analytics.
    1. Directly into the code – don’t want to do that
    2. In an untitled text widget
    3. With a Plugin
    Does the text widget method work? If so, why would you slow down your site with a plugin?

  • you are asking about analytics, but what it sounds like you mean is adsense…. is that correct?

    Since analytics doesn’t have anything to display front-end.

    For analytics, I use Yoast’s analytics plugin to do all the verifying. It’s handy, and keeps from messing with any code

    for adsense, yeah, I just use a text widget
