• I would like to display posts from a WordPress site on to my non-wordpress website. Due to my office limitations, I am not allowed to edit the theme or code of the wordpress site, can not modify the database, nor can I add wordpress plugins. That means I am stuck with using the raw RSS feed from the wordpress site to display posts on my non-WP website. I may be able to use something like lastrss or simplepie to parse the XML/RSS and display the posts on my non-wordpress site, but I have never used them before. I’ll have to read the documentation.

Is this the best way to go about displaying WP posts onto my website? Or, is there a better way? I simply want to display a “latest 3 posts” section on my website. Thanks for your advice!

That sounds like what RSS is made for. If you need a starting point you can just search for RSS widgets on Google and you’ll get a ton of sites that will basically do it for you. Though it seems you know how to do this and what you need is rather simple to begin with.
