• I’m trying to find an easy way to manage applying around 600 or so custom taxonomy tags across a dozen or so posts. Obviously each post will have many tags associated with it, but no post will share the same tags.

For example, my client has 12 branches across the UK. He wants to associate various postcodes to each branch (effectively setting up catchment areas) so that a site visitor can search for a specific branch by postcode.

This could be set up once manually, however my client will want to update and change these catchment areas (tags associated to posts) regularly. Which will be nightmare to do manually every couple of weeks.

He keeps his postcode / branch list in an excel spreadsheet.

Many thanks if you’ve any ideas – I’m currently a bit stuck.

After poking around in the msql database I think what I need to be able to do is define the term relationships (wp_term_relationships) between a custom postype and a custom taxonomy.

Somehow I need to figure a way to do this semi-automagically by uploading a CSV file for terms and posts. Any ideas?

    Thanks
