    Hi,

My client site is hosted with siteground. I have a client whose database sizing is just over 1000MB which is just over the quota sizing.

I never normally have to do any maintenance on databases for client sites and don’t like to touch databases on live sites either.

Anyway, does anyone have any safe strategies that I can use OR where to check or directory to clear to help with reducing the database total sizing?

    I was told I can clear out the wp_actionscheduler_logs and wp_actionscheduler_actions ?

    THanks in advance

    Hi @kristinubute,

Those tables should automatically clear their records after 30 days, however they can get stuck. I’ve found an article that will provide a lot of insights about this, as well as many options to proceed: https://wpxss.com/database/how-to-cleanup-wp_actionscheduler_actions-wp_actionscheduler_logs-tables-in-the-database/.

Please remember to take a backup before making any changes on your database!

    Cheers!

It was the Action-scheduler data in there, so I removed it all , now database is fine.

    Thanks

Can you confirm the purpose of the action-scheduler? Is that where all actions are listed that have tried to be performed, like backups, WP Forms sending etc?

Can we auto clear it regularly, or I have to do it manually when I realise there is an issue?

    Happy to learn!

Yes it’s a library to run scheduled tasks, not only for WooCommerce, but other plugins rely on it, too. You can learn more about it here: https://actionscheduler.org/.

Can we auto clear it regularly, or I have to do it manually when I realise there is an issue?

Yes, you can clear it regularly if you prefer, too! You can check on the link on my first reply to learn more and explore more options!

I hope this was helpful! Please let me know if there is anything else we can assist you with!
