For any and all plugin related issues or violations of the rules please report them to plugins [ at ] www.ads-software.com. It’s the best way to bring these problems to light.
In this case, this plugin violates item #10 of the plugin guidelines.
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/about/guidelines/
10. The plugin must not embed external links on the public site (like a “powered by” link) without explicitly asking the user’s permission. Any such options in the plugin must default to NOT show the link.
But it does it in a cute way. The plugin does not set the option when you install it. But when you configure the plugin it defaults “Give Credit Where Credit is Due?” as “Yes” and you have to manually change that to “No.”
In order to use the plugin you need to set the options and defaulting that option to “Yes” is against the rules.
I’m not on the plugins review team (that’s too much honest hard work for me and I lack the PHP chops) but send the D/L an e-mail and include these details. If the review teams finds it to be in violation of the rules then they’ll reach out to the plugin author.
