• I was using SendGrid’s free service for low volume transactional emails until today when I stopped getting emails on one of my domains and after so much troubleshooting, I learned it was due to the SendGrid server being black listed on several RBLs. I started looking for other solutions and came across using Gmail’s smtp. Downloaded plugin, followed your instructions to set it up and the problem was solved perfectly. Emails arrive instantly!

Question: Is there any way to prevent emails that are sent through this plugin from appearing in the sent mail folder of gmail? For example, suppose someone submits a form, the form submission to land in my inbox, but not in my sent folder as well. Is that possible?

Hi, I don’t think it’s possible because the email is actually being sent from the gmail server.

I was researching this earlier today and someone was using another SMTP plugin, and they said they were having the opposite trouble, i.e. mails weren’t getting saved in their sent folder.
