better than WPML

  • When added to polylang, Lingotek is actually better than WPML. The machine translation is straight forward. You can bulk translates articles using machine translation. The plugin also allows users to request human translation. I had WPML before, and I must say that the Lingotek plugin is much simpler. On WPML, they have a complicated workflow. There is no workflow on lingotek. It makes the plugin lightweight and when you don’t need it you can disable lingotek and leave polylang on.
    Also, the translation is super fast.
    You may not find all the features that you can find in WPML. However, it is much important to preserve the performance of the frontend or backend wordpress. Because the more your website is slow and the more your lose in productivy. Don’t forget that when you use wordpress, the frontend and the backend are part of the same installation.
    The plugin is totally different than WPML. So, watch the tutorials to understand how it works first.
