Better WP Security Breaks Site After WordPress Update

  • I’ve had a couple of attempts at updating WordPress to the latest version and on each occasion I end up being unable to access the site at all.

    On each occasion I have had to get the site restored at a cost. I get no indication of what the error is in Firefox or Chrome just a blank screen. In IE I get told it is a HTTP 500 error.

    I have tried editing the .htaccess file but that made no difference at all. I’ve also tried editing the wp-config.php at the top of the file as others have indicated.

    At the moment I really just want to be completely remove Better WP Security because not being able to upgrade WordPress isn’t very good. I would prefer to avoid having to do a complete rebuild of the website.

    I would appreciate any support that I could be given on how to completely remove Better WP Security.
