Better WP Security causing white screen of death

  • I got a white screen of death on one of my sites totally out of the blue. I couldn’t access the front end or the admin panel. It had been fine when I was editing and updating the day before.

    I traced the problem to Better WP Security. I had to rename the plugins folder and then activate all the plugins one by one to see what was causing the problem.

    Now, after updating my site from 3.5.2 to 3.6 and updating Better WP Security, BWPS will not activate. It just seems to get stuck “transferring data from…”

    This has now happened on another of my sites. One which had not had any updates since June, so not sure what caused it to start misbehaving.

    Looks like I may have to disable the plugin on all sites now, which is a shame.

    BWPS is a great plugin that I’ve been using on all my sites for about a year. Is there a fix for this issue?
