Better WP Security took site offline today

  • At 1:12 local time my site went down.

    I was posting a blog entry on the site using Press This and someone from the UK was reading a blog. I did not update anything – plugins, themes, etc – while posting. The site stopped responding shortly thereafter and I tracked down the problem to the Better WP Security v3.5.3 plugin. Enabled – site is down. Disabled – site works properly.

    Has anyone else had this problem?

  • You’d be better off looking at the error logs rather then the access logs. They’ll tell you what actually went wrong and hopefully give you an idea of how to fix it.
