Betting site

  • Hey folks, I’m well versed in googling and have searched exhaustively. I’ve been doing some volunteering on the forums here so I’m not a noob. But I’ve got a specific need and I can’t identify if one of these plugins will work, my php hand coding skills are not there yet.

    Specifically I’ve been tasked with creating a site where people bet agains this celebrity’s sports picks. Not for money, just fun, and it needs to have the social aspect to it that they log in, they tally their results and then season stats on how the celeb is doing.

    The plugins I’m finding of course don’t have support to ask and I can’t tell if this “one against all” thing is going to be able to work in there. If anyone has any experience with a gambling site that would be great.

  • It can work and is definately possible, but it’s hard to say anything more without any idea of what you’ll be using.

    If it was me doing this, I’d be looking at creating my own custom plugin to offer this functionality. The biggest reasons for this is that (as you’ve said) there’s not much around that looks liek it can do this the way that you want to, and if it’s my own work I know how it works and I can fix any issues rather than waiting for the author to get around to it.
