• Have been using the free version of this plugin for about half a year on a number of sites, and overall am very happy with it. It does what it says it does, keeps things pretty simple, and that’s a good thing.

However, a recent update places a nag message all over your WordPress admin interface, and the only way to get rid of it is by donating. You can’t get rid of this message otherwise, no matter how many times you click the “X” button in the corner.

    This is extremely annoying.

I get it – developers need to eat and pay bills too.

However, I think they are going about this the wrong way. Encourage users to buy the paid version of the plugin, and I’m sure a number of people like me would be more than happy to buy an annual license. Just don’t constantly bug people to donate. Or if you must, at least have an option to hide the message for a few days or something, before it comes back. At least that way it won’t stink of desperation.
