Beware using this plugin

  • Despite 5-stars reviews and bombastic description claims, Wp-Staging is far from straightforward staging solution.
    The point is that you will realize it eventually, when it’s too late.

    Because, yes, creating a staging clone with is plugin is a metter of a couple of mouse clicks. The trouble begins when you’re finished with your hard toil and want to push it to production domain. Let me warn you: +++ There is no easy way to do it! +++

    Don’t take my word for it? Take a look to the official tutorial and get ready to cope with Ftp’s, database search and replaces, PHPMyAdmin strings and so on.
    Or buy the 89$ premium plugin, which will make your life only just a bit easier, as the procedure here is just slightly more convenient.

    So please beware before using this plugin. Your controlpanel Softacolous/Installtron scripts, as well as most plain and simple backup/restore wp plugin may reveal themselves a better deal and save you money and headaches.

    I am sorry to hear that you were not able to follow the guide to copy over your staging site to the production site.

    Yes, the migration process with the free version requires manual steps but following the guide 1:1 will lead to a successful migration even with the free version.

    That’s not true. With the pro version, it’s a very similar process. You can push the staging site with only one click without doing any manual steps.
