Bids not showing up live immediately

    There seems to be a delay in bids showing up on the live site – I’ve tested this on different devices and got others to test too – bids are taking over 30 minutes to show up live, even for the user who just submitted the successful bid. Clearing the browser cache doesn’t help. However, confirmation emails are being sent on time and if you try to bid a lower amount, the warning does come up to say the bid isn’t high enough, so the true bid is being logged, just not displayed. Any advice welcome as we really need this to update immediately to be effective. Many thanks!

    I’ve spotted that it’s not just the bids – if I change the auction settings (for example, to hide the ability to add a comment or send a message) these changes don’t appear on the live site immediately either, except for in the browser that I’m logged in with.

    Hi,

    I tested it and did not observe this on my local setup. I do not see auctions on the url you posted. Could you please confirm correct url and also provide dummy user to bid and see.

    Hi Nitesh – there was other content on the page and the auction was further down. I have now removed that other content so you can see the auction at the top.

    It’s set up to allow bids from people who are not registered. Feel free to place some test bids – we have not gone public with that auction yet.

    I placed a bid and it did not update. I also observed that you had done some GUI changes to plugin. Could you tell me what changes did you make and also write to nitesh[at]auctionplugin.net so that we communicate to see your custom changes.
