    Hey, you broke Chrome! ??
After updating Yoast SEO to 8.2, when I try to copy-paste something into wordpress editor, it crashes.
Note that it happens only in Chrome, other browsers work fine (I also tried to update Chrome to latest version, and clean all the data – cache, history, cookies etc. – it didn’t help).

When I restored the plugin to previous version (8.0) it solved the problem.

  • Same here,

“Aw, snap!” on Chrome 70 occuring when trying to edit pages and articles…
Problem stopped as soon as i disabled Yoast.

    Website is in French.
Problem seems to come from the readability analyser too.

Same problem here. Win7 – Chrome Version 70.0.3538.67 – WordPress and Yoast updated to their respective last versions (4.9.8 and 8.4) My webiste language is FRENCH. Editing some pages cause the website crash. Same problem with 5 differents websites and themes. I solved by disabilng the “Readability analyzer”.

    A solution ????

    Hi,
This morning, Chrome update and since I have this problem, thanks

    @marcopanichi grazie

I am having the same problem when I try to edit a post. Since I updated to Chrome 70 I am having this “AW,Snap” error. I am using Yoast in Italian.

Disabling the readability check solve the problem.

Same issue. WIn 7, chrome 70.0.3538.102, using WP latest version with several web sites and Yoast Premium 8.1.
Crashes on certain desktop, even with incognito mode, even after cleaning Chrome contents.
Does not crash with firefox or IE.
Does not wrash if I desactivate “readbility”

    Hey there,

It’s been over 3 months since yoast acknowledged the ability to reproduce this issue. Are there any updates yet?

    Turn off “Readability analyzer” ??
