Friends, I want to host a product catalog online with my WordPress site. Having tried a few different PDF viewers, I find that my PDF catalog sections so big that it takes 20-30 seconds to load. I feel the answer is to load a few pages at a time. What does “Embed PDF Viewer” do with large PDFs?

    Thank you,
    Roger

I don’t do anything regarding PDF file size. I’m not sure how I would even be able to determine that.

I think you’re on to the best answer by splitting up the number of large files per page.

The better solution possibly is to work with your hosting provider to use a CDN and caching to speed this up.

Thanks for the quick reply Andy. I just did a PDF compression with an app I found last hour, called “SmallPDF”. It cut down my PDF from 23Mb to 11Mb. Big difference in load time.

Again, thank you for your suggestion and repid come back.
