Big Picture on top???

  • Is it possible to put a big picture on top like the Superhero screen grab? I don’t care about a slider, I just want to put a big picture like the one in the advertised Superhero theme.

    I do not have “Featured” anything under Customize. I do not want Jetpack.

    Jetpack Featured Content is what activates the large featured area at the top of the theme, whether you use a slider or not – you need at least one featured post tagged in the Customizer.

    If you choose not to use Jetpack, you could create a child theme with your own featured area and related CSS styles. It would require some substantial modifications, but if you’d be comfortable editing theme files and know some HTML and CSS, it’s doable.

    Creating a child theme means that your tweaks won’t be overwritten when updating the theme. Here are some guides in case you haven’t made one before:
