Big spaces or no spaces in home page

  • Hello,

    I have some problems with my home page since few time. I have big white spaces between widgets, or sometimes no spaces at all. By the link, you can see big whites spaces : I prefer this, instead of no spaces at all (no spaces between widget come when I put left and write content on my home page for example).

    We appreciate you writing in,

    Upon inspection, we found that your site contains some non-breaking spaces (&nbsp, refer to the screenshot below). This is inserted by WordPress if you copy the text and contents from somewhere else and directly paste it to your WordPress site. Because of this, the spaces are also considered as text by WordPress and it takes up space on the page (the blank spaces).

    We suggest you manage the contents of your site first. If you have copied the contents from somewhere else, then pasting the contents on Notepad at first and then copying them from Notepad to your site might solve the issue. We hope this helps.

    Hello,

    thanks for your answer. I don’t understand why there are non-breaking spaces because I just work on my home page with the function “personalize” of the theme.
    Where can I find and edit the PHP code of my home page ?

    I found the non-breaking spaces and removed them. Also, I always have big spaces between blocks in my home page. It’s so bad.

    Have you tried disabling all the plugins? Sometimes the issue might be caused due to a plugin conflict so you can start by disabling all the plugins within your site and then check. You can then enable them one by one to locate the one causing the issue and let us know.

    Hi,

    I have removed all the non-breaking spaces. The website was correct a few time but a big white space is appared another time, only on computer. But, when I inspected the website, there is no space no more.
    Can you look at my site ?

    Sorry for the delay.

    This should be the cause of a faulty plugin if it is appearing time and again. Have you tried to deactivate the plugins by following the instructions in our previous reply? If not then we request you to do that once.
